My children are also too young to have participated yet, but my husband and myself took our preschooler (Little Learners) to see Seussical the Musical that was done at the high school and it was AMAZING. We all enjoyed ourselves and were very impressed with the performance.

My children have graduated from Fraser Schools. They participated in sports, the highest academic courses and in the arts. They were in involved in band, drama, photography and took art classes. The band programs begin at the elementary level and continues through high school with bands such as: marching, symphany, jazz, flute choir and concert. The teachers of all three levels work closely together to give students amazing experiences. The high school now has a piano lab as well. The drama department is excellent. The performances put out by them are as good as some I have seen at the Fisher!
As for the art classes, the students are exposed to a variety of medias and genres. From realism to the abstsract. These classes are not simply using a computer to draw. There is an annual art and photography show at the end of each school year at the high school. Check it out to see the kinds of things Fraser students accomplish. As I mentioned, my children also took photography. They used 35mm film and developed it themselves in a darkroom. The classes werre not about using digital cameras, uploading the pictures and then using photo shop. The classes taught them to view the world from a different perspective. The best part has been that my children did not take a class and forget about it. They still use the things they learned daily. That is what Fraser does for you family.

I have a senior in the Jazz Band, Symphony Band, Concert Band, Piano Lab and works the sound board in the Theatre at the high school. She will soon be attending the Oakland University Honors College. She has grown into an awesome young lady and I attribute her great attitude and academic success to her participation in the performing arts department. My son is in the 8th grade band program and he too performs well in his academics. He is also involved in sports at the middle school. The performing arts department is top notch. I encourage you to visit the high school on May 26th for the Elementary, Middle and High School Jazz Band performances and on May 27th for the High School Varsity, Concert and Symphony Concerts and see for yourself the talent that Fraser Performing Arts department produces.

Just came from the middle school and elementary band concert in Fraser. It was fantastic. The middle school gym was packed both on the floor with musicians and in the stands with parents. A beautiful sight matched only by the beautiful sounds.

Tonight's concert concludes a great concert season with our Fraser Singers winning a Gold Medal in their competition on the way to Carnegie Hall. Our band program concluded with tremendous concerts at the elementary, middle and high school levels. The drama department's "Seussical the Musical" was fantastic, and the art department held a glorious show featuring artists from elementary through high school.

Congratulations to the students as well as to the staff for performing at this level. The best way to sum up what the arts mean to Fraser was demonstrated at the choral concert when four talented seniors rewarded the vocal music staff with a beautiful rendition of the song "Thank You for the Music." It was a heartfelt thank you that clearly displayed the importance of the arts in Fraser.
